Paris, the 6th october - MaMA Music & Convention 2023
We are delighted to announce that the programme for the 14th edition of MaMA Music & Convention is now fully available online. With 180 concerts - including more than 130 which are open to the general public - and 170 Convention events for industry professionals, MaMA is sure to satisfy everyone’s curiosity and desires.
At the Convention, come meet other industry professionals to discover and discuss the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow, with artificial intelligence, decarbonisation and Music & image being the major themes structuring the MaMA Great Debates. Our 2023 partners are also extremely excited to offer a variety of conferences, workshops and meet-and-greets that will delve into numerous topics linked to new technology, societal issues, project financing, and many others.
MaMA is also reaffirming its penchant for international collaborations. Several initiatives with our international partners are being launched this year: Canada is our Country of Focus and we’ll gain insight into this market’s special features through several activities; our partnership with Un-Convention (Manchester) takes a look at post-Brexit artistic and professional collaborations, plus there’s a conference hosted by Shuruq Music introducing the musical history of the SWANA region (South West Asia and North Africa), its artists, its trends and its dynamics.
As for the music, our programme supports this ambition by welcoming a line-up of which almost 40% are international acts, and we’ll soon be revealing the 12 talented names on our Avant-Garde line-up dedicated to the export of French artists. Finally, MaMA remains dedicated to being representative of the current musical landscape, both in terms of its musical line-up and in its choice of professional collaborations for developing showcases and partner events.
The 2023 edition therefore promises to be an experience combining music, industry events and international openness. Music fans and industry figures are invited to explore the full programme online to help them prepare and plan their visit.
